"The passion for stretching yourself and sticking to it, even (or especially) when it's not going well, is the hallmark of the growth mindset. This is the mindset that allows people to thrive during some of the most challenging times in their lives." ![]()
In times of uncertainty, our mindsets are challenged. Although I have read a lot of books that touch on mindset, this to me is an essential in understanding the of one's mindset.
In 2006, Carol Dweck, a world-renowned psychologist released the book 'Mindset.' It is a brilliant book that shows that our success is drastically influenced by how we think about our abilities and our talents. She introduces the idea of the fixed mindset and the growth mindset. The fixed mindset refers to those that believe that their abilities are fixed, and the growth mindset refers to those that believe their abilities and talents can be developed. Happy Reading!
