The starfish is fascinating to me. If you have been in my office, you know I love them. Living in the Turks and Caicos islands, ever so often I come across one in our beautiful waters.
Earlier this year I looked up the meaning of these beautiful creatures that seemed to pop up and random, but maybe not so random times. Although there is so much out there on meaning of the starfish, a few things have stuck and also caused me to put it as the picture to accompany this month’s challenge on Optimism.
The starfish is a symbol of clarity and personal strength and represents regeneration, renewal and sustainability. It suggests and inspires us to continue to live life with courage, confidence and happiness, and in these times, this can be a challenge.
As we enter September, I challenge you to focus on the power of knowing. Optimism is knowing that as there is positivity ahead, that through COVID numbers, tanking economies and sometimes tedious online school…there is a light at the end of that tunnel. This week, spend some intentional time each day on a task that reminds us and sets the stage for Optimism. Although I will post each new task on social media daily, I have posted each day's challenge here so you to make it a little easier for those not checking into social media daily. Have a great week!
